Who we Are: Qiraa (Qiraa, we, us, our)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using this service, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use our service.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the service. Your continued use of the service will constitute your acceptance of these terms.

We may update these Terms. We will post the new Terms and update the "Effective date". For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice (e.g., in-app notice or email). Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

2. Description of Services

Our service provides a platform for users to access various features and functionalities as described on our website. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time without notice.

We strive to provide reliable and uninterrupted service, but we do not guarantee that the service will be available at all times or that it will be error-free.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of our service, you may be required to create an account. You must be 13+ to create an account. If you are 13-17, you must have a parent/guardian's permission. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You are solely responsible for any activity that occurs on your account, and you must keep your account password secure.
We offer secure 2FA for accessing/modifying sensitive information. You are advised to enable this feature.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to use the service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others
  • Distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the service
  • Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Misuse, reverse engineer, or interfere with the App.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who violates these terms.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Qiraa's code, branding, and content are protected.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our service or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software.

Any feedback, comments, or suggestions you provide regarding the service may be used by us without any obligation to you.

IP complaints: email support@qiraa.ai with your contact details, a description of the work, the location (URL) of the material, and a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorised. We may remove content and/or terminate repeat infringers.

6. Privacy Policy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

By using our service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

7. Payments and Billing

Donations and other payments are processed by Stripe. Qiraa does not collect or store full payment card details (card number, CVC, or bank account numbers). Your use of Stripe is subject to their terms and privacy policy.

Non-refundability. Unless we state otherwise in writing or required by law, donations are voluntary and non-refundable. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Recurring support. If you start a recurring donation, you can cancel at any time before the next charge:

  • in your account billing/settings (Manage Donation / Manage Billing), or
  • by emailing support@qiraa.ai.

When you cancel, future charges stop immediately; no pro-rata refunds are issued for the current period unless required by law.

Billing metadata we keep. We store limited information such as Stripe customer ID, amounts, currency, timestamps, invoice/charge IDs and refund/chargeback outcomes. We do not store full payment credentials.

Refund exceptions. We may issue a refund at our discretion for duplicate charges, processing errors, or confirmed unauthorized payments.

Currency All donations are made in GBP, additional charges from your payment provider may apply.

Receipts A receipt of your purchase may be found from your billing portal and may be emailed to you after purchase by Stripe.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms of Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. All provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from using the service will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors in the service will be corrected

Your use of the service is at your sole risk. Any material downloaded or obtained through the service is done at your own discretion and risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Qiraa and its directors, employees, and partners are not liable for:

  • indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
  • loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business.
  • amounts exceeding £100 or what you paid to Qiraa in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.

Nothing limits your statutory rights or our liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death/personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

By continuing to access or use our service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the service.

12. AI Limitations and Disclaimer

The AI features provide general Islamic information based on publicly available knowledge and trained data. It:

  • Is not a source of official religious rulings.
  • May occasionally provide inaccurate or incomplete responses.
  • Should be used for learning and exploration only.

For authoritative guidance, consult qualified Islamic scholars.

13. Donations & Supporter Benefits

Qiraa offers users the option to provide a voluntary monthly donation of £2 or more to support operations.
As a token of appreciation, supporters who contribute at least £2/month receive enhanced access, including reduced rate limits.

Unless stated otherwise in writing:

  • Donations are voluntary and non-refundable
  • Do not constitute a purchase or subscription.
  • May be used to support operations, expand the service, or be donated to registered charitable causes.
  • Do not guarantee uninterrupted or permanent benefits, which may change at Qiraa's discretion.
  • recurring donations can be cancelled before the next renewal (in-app or via support)

14. Third Party Services

The Service may integrate third-party services (e.g., hosting, analytics, authentication, payments). Their terms and privacy practices apply; we are not responsible for them.

15. Service Changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. No SLA is provided; keep your own backups where appropriate.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Qiraa from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

17. Security & Responsible Disclosure

We use appropriate safeguards. If you discover a vulnerability, email support@qiraa.ai. Do not access or exfiltrate data that isn't yours; give us reasonable time to remediate.

18. Informal Dispute Resolution

Before starting any legal action, you agree to try to resolve the dispute with us informally.

Send an email to support@qiraa.ai with the subject "Dispute Notice" and include:

  • Your account email
  • Your name and postal address
  • A brief description of the issue
  • Outcome you're seeking

We'll acknowledge within 10 business days and the parties will work in good faith to resolve the dispute within 30 day of our receipt of the notice.

If the dispute is not resolved after that period, either party may bring proceedings as set out in Governing Law & Jurisdiction. This section does not prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive or equitable relief (e.g., to stop misuse or protect IP), nor does it affect your statutory rights.

19. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes/claims) are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the UK/EU, you may benefit from mandatory local consumer protections.

20. Notices & Electronic Communications

We may send notices via the Service or email to the address associated with your account. By using Qiraa, you consent to receive important electronic communications related to your account and the Service, including transactional or service messages (e.g., sign-in, 2FA, security alerts, receipts, and critical service announcements). These are necessary to provide the Service and you cannot opt out of them except by closing your account (where applicable). You may opt in to receive optional newsletters and product updates. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or in your account settings. Your marketing preferences do not affect the delivery of essential transactional or safety communications. See our Privacy Policy for details.

21. Miscellaneous

  • Severability. If any provision is invalid, the rest remain in effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any feature-specific terms are the entire agreement between you and Qiraa regarding the Service.
  • Force Majeure. We are not responsible for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to internet or hosting outages, denial-of-service attacks, acts of God, fire, flood, earthquake, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes or labor disputes, embargoes, governmental actions, or changes in law ("Force Majeure Event"). Our obligations will be suspended for the duration of the Force Majeure Event and will resume when performance becomes possible. If a Force Majeure Event continues for more than 30 days, either party may terminate the affected services on notice.
  • Export Controls & Sanctions You represent and warrant that you are not (a) located in, organized under the laws of, or ordinarily resident in, any country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions, or (b) a person or entity listed on any applicable sanctions or restricted-party list. You will not use, export, re-export, or transfer the Service in violation of UK, EU, or US export control and sanctions laws. You are responsible for compliance with all applicable export, import, and sanctions requirements in connection with your use of the Service.
